π Vertical Cascading Slimline Card | My Time To Craft Christmas DT Make π
Hi everyone!
It’s time for a brand new challenge over at My Time To Craft Christmas, and we’re continuing our fun series exploring different card techniques and styles. This time, the challenge is all about Vertical Slimline Cards—and I decided to put a creative twist on the format with a unique card fold that I had so much fun making!
✂️ Something a Little Different
I’ve been on a bit of a slimline card kick lately, so I wanted to challenge myself to try something I hadn’t done before. After doing a bit of crafty digging, I came across an amazing Vertical Cascading Slimline Card tutorial by My Inky Fingers on YouTube—and let’s just say, I was hooked!
I watched the video a few times to make sure I had all the angles and measurements just right, and once I got the base figured out, it all came together beautifully.
❄️ It’s Snome Time!
To decorate the card, I pulled out my Craft Consortium “It’s Snome Time 2” paper pack—and it was the perfect fit. The coordinating patterns, adorable toppers, and color palette worked together so nicely to bring a fun and festive feel to the finished card.
Despite the card base looking intricate with its layered cascade effect, it really wasn’t hard to put together once I had everything scored and cut. The most challenging part was getting the angles right on the base—but with a little patience and a good ruler, it’s totally doable!
π Final Thoughts
This was such a fun project and a great way to step out of the standard slimline box. I actually made a similar version as a Father’s Day card a few weeks back, and I loved how it turned out—so I knew this vertical cascading version would be perfect for a Christmas-themed design as well.
If you’re looking to try something new with your slimline cards, I definitely recommend giving this fold a go!
