Resurrection Multi-Bend Card for Ally's Angels DT – Anything Goes Challenge
Hello, crafty friends!
It’s time for another fun challenge over at Ally’s Angels, and as always, Anything Goes! I’m excited to share the card I created as part of the Design Team for this round. With Easter just around the corner, I felt led to make something meaningful and faith-filled—a Resurrection-themed Multi-Bend Card, inspired by the talented Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft.
I’ve used this fold multiple times, and I absolutely loved how it turns out! The multi-bend design offers such a lovely 3D effect while still folding flat—perfect for sending or displaying. If you’d like to give this fun fold a try yourself, you can find Sam’s fantastic tutorial here.
The Front Panel: A Message of Hope
For the centerpiece, I used a beautiful cross image from Gracielle Designs, which I colored with my beloved Prismacolor pencils. I kept the tones soft but rich, staying true to the message of hope and renewal. Behind the cross, I layered some dreamy ink drop pattern papers alongside whitewashed wood textures from Craft Consortium. These subtle patterns gave the card a grounded, natural feel while letting the artwork shine.
To accent the front panel, I added a heartfelt sentiment stamp from Stamp Simply—a line from the timeless Gaither hymn, “Because He lives.” It felt like the perfect message to anchor the design.
The Back Panel: Scripture & Finishing Touches
On the back of the card, I continued the theme with another Stamp Simply sentiment stamp, this time featuring 1 Corinthians 15:57:
“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”I just love how this verse ties everything together.
For embellishments, I found some delicate purple roses that perfectly matched my color palette. They added just the right touch of softness and symbolized both royalty and resurrection—a fitting floral choice for Easter.
I hope this card inspires you as much as it inspired me while creating it. Be sure to check out the other beautiful creations from the Ally’s Angels DT team, and don’t forget to enter your own makes in this month’s Anything Goes Challenge!
