Loaded with Flowers – Di’s Digi Designs Challenge
Hi crafty friends!
It’s time for a new challenge over at the Di’s Digi Designs Challenge Blog, and this time our theme is a floral favorite: “Load on the Flowers!” 🌼🌿 And let me tell you, I did just that — and then some!
For this project, I used the sweet “All Ears” image from Di’s Etsy Shop — a charming little scene featuring bunnies nestled among daffodils. With Easter fast approaching, I decided to turn it into a heartfelt Easter card.
I colored the image using my Prismacolor Premier pencils, which are always a joy to work with — especially for soft fur textures and floral details. Once the image was done, I started building the card design.
I began with a layer of yellow patterned paper for a sunny, springtime vibe, and then framed the image with a new circular floral leaf die from Made To Surprise. I was so excited to use this die — it adds such an elegant frame and fit the floral theme perfectly!
And I didn’t stop there!
For the inside of the card, I wanted to add something meaningful and elegant. I stamped an Easter Bible verse from Stamp Simply onto vellum and heat embossed it in gold — it gives such a lovely, glowing effect. I added some leaf and flower elements to the corners of the vellum to echo the floral theme from the front and to create a soft, finished look inside the card.
This was such a joyful card to make — full of springtime color, handmade touches, and a little spiritual encouragement too.
Be sure to head over to the Di’s Digi Designs Challenge Blog to see how the rest of the DT was inspired to load on the flowers — you’re sure to leave with a garden full of ideas!
Thanks so much for visiting — I’d love to hear how you’re using flowers in your Easter crafting this year!
