Soccer Fun Stepper Card – Di’s Digital Designs Challenge
It’s time for another fun challenge over at Di’s Digital Designs Challenge Blog! This time the theme is to use a hand-colored image on your project. For my card, I chose to feature the adorable “Soccer Fun” image from Di’s Etsy shop.
I colored him up with my Ohuhu alcohol markers, using our school colors of orange and black. This card is going to be perfect for a student’s birthday later this year, and I wanted something bright, bold, and fun that would look great displayed on their desk.
To make the card extra special, I followed a 5x7 stepper card tutorial from Iced Images (you can check it out here). The stepper style gives the card great dimension and makes the image really pop.
For embellishments, I stamped some soccer balls, jerseys, and cleats from Made to Surprise and arranged them in the background. To tie it all together, I added a bit of “netting” behind the main image to mimic the look of a soccer goal.
Overall, this was such a fun card to make. I love how it turned out and will definitely be making another stepper card soon!
