🎮 It’s a SUPER Card for Ally’s Angels! 🎮

Hello crafty friends!

I’m so excited to share my latest creation as a Design Team Member for Ally’s Angels Challenge Blog, where the theme is always Anything Goes! This time, I decided to have a bit of fun with a multi-dimensional, interactive card inspired by some classic gaming characters we all know and love.

This card is packed with nostalgia and playful details — perfect for any gamer or fan of retro video games!

🌟 The Outside: A SUPER Surprise!

The front of the card sets the stage in a classic gaming world, complete with a big green pipe in the center. But here’s the fun part: I added a pull tab mechanism that allows a power-up (a mushroom, fire flower, or a star!) to rise up out of the pipe just like in the games. It’s a playful, interactive element that brings the card to life!

I used an old favorite from my stash — the "Made to Surprise - Complete Pop-Up Kit" that came with an older issue of Papercraft Essentials Magazine. It was perfect for adding just the right amount of pop and motion.

🎮 The Inside: Pop-Up Gaming Adventure

When you open the card, the magic really happens. I created a pop-up dimensional gaming scene bursting with iconic elements — one of the beloved Super characters, power-ups, gold coins, question blocks, and even a few classic enemies. It’s a whole world of fun packed into one card! But I made several featuring the different characters!

🎨 All the Details

I went all out with mixed media on this one:

• Distress Inks for rich backgrounds

• Watercolor paint splatters for texture and energy

• Nuvo Expanding Mousse for fluffy clouds that give that whimsical, 3D sky effect

• Craft Consortium’s Bricks paper pack for those iconic brick backgrounds

• And finally, Stamp Anniething’s "Game On" box for the perfect finishing touches with characters and accessories

I absolutely loved bringing this card to life, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. It’s a fun mash-up of nostalgic play and modern crafting techniques!
