Elegant Christmas Florals – DT Inspiration for My Time To Craft Christmas

It's time for a new challenge over at My Time To Craft Christmas, and this round we're embracing flowers in Christmas colors! For my Design Team project, I wanted to create something classic, festive, and full of seasonal elegance—and I think this easel card hits just the right notes.

I chose the stunning digital image “Christmas Joy” from Graciellie Design. It features a beautiful poinsettia resting over an open book—a perfect blend of peaceful reflection and holiday cheer. I colored it up using my Ohuhu Alcohol markers, sticking with rich traditional Christmas colors: deep reds, forest greens, and golden yellow accents to bring the image to life.

For the card structure, I created a classic easel card base using coordinating cardstock. On the inside panel, I added a luxurious gold and white foil patterned paper featuring delicate holly leaves and berries—just the right touch of sparkle. I trimmed a strip of this paper, mounted it on the same cardstock as the base, and popped it up with foam tape to act as the easel stopper.

To dress up the inside even more, I added handmade poinsettias in red and white, along with a few mini pinecones to give it some texture and a little rustic charm.

To finish the card, I used a couple of vellum sentiments from the “Christmas Joy” digital set—soft and subtle, yet full of meaning. I love how the vellum floats over the card without taking away from the rest of the design.

Overall, I kept the layout simple but elegant, allowing the beauty of the florals and foiled accents to really shine. I hope this card inspires you to pull out your Christmas supplies and start creating something beautiful today!
