Raccoon Cutie – Di’s Digi Challenge: Use 2+ Patterned Papers!

Hi crafty friends!

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at Di’s Digital Challenge Blog, and this round we're asking you to feature at least two different patterned papers in your design! I had so much fun putting together my DT card for this one, and couldn’t wait to share it with you all.

For my project, I decided to highlight Di’s absolutely adorable Raccoon image—you can find it in her Etsy shop if you’re smitten like I am! I colored this little guy up with my trusty Ohuhu Alcohol Markers, which blend beautifully and really made the raccoon pop.

To make the patterned papers shine, I went with an inverted double diamond fold card. I love how this fancy fold really shows off multiple layers and patterns while giving the card tons of dimension and interest. I created the SVG template myself in Adobe Illustrator, then cut everything out with my good ol' Cricut Air 2, using both the scoring stylus and cutting blade to get those crisp lines.

For the color scheme, I chose a mix of pinks, blacks, and mauves—a little unexpected, but I think it complements Di’s sweet image perfectly! To finish it off, I added a Bible verse stamp along with a sentiment from Stampendous for an extra heartfelt touch.

I had such a blast combining patterned papers, fun folds, and Di’s darling digi stamps. I hope this inspires you to play along in the challenge—can’t wait to see your beautiful creations featuring patterned papers!

Happy crafting, everyone!
