Ruh-Roh! A Scooby Doo–Inspired Bendy Shadow Box Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a fun card I made as a Design Team member for Ally’s Angels Challenge Blog, where the challenge is always Anything Goes. I love the freedom this challenge gives, and this time it worked out perfectly because I needed to make some birthday cards for my students.

For this project, I decided to create a Scooby Doo–themed card. I’ve been wanting to try the Bendy Shadow Box card style for a while now, so this felt like the perfect opportunity to give it a go. Not only does this style have great dimension, but it also makes the card feel extra special and interactive—perfect for a birthday card.

I decorated the card using my It's a Mystery stamp set from Stamp Anniething, which I’ve had in my stash for quite some time. I thought this set fit the Scooby Doo vibe perfectly! To really lean into the mystery theme, I created a magnifying glass–shaped window for the shadow box section of the card. I love how it adds interest and helps frame the sentiment inside.

Overall, this was such a fun card to make. I really enjoyed experimenting with the Bendy Shadow Box style, and I definitely want to try more variations of this card design in the future. I’m also excited to play more with the Mystery Kids stamp set—it’s one of those sets that works for so many fun themes.

Don’t forget to head over to the Ally’s Angels Challenge Blog and check out all the amazing inspiration from the design team. Our challenge is always Anything Goes, so it’s the perfect chance to play along with any project you’re working on.
