Spooky (But Cute!) Twist & Pop Circle Card 🎃🕸️
It’s time for a brand-new challenge over at Di’s Digital Design Challenge Blog, and this round we’re featuring spooky or cute Halloween cards. I decided to lean toward the cute side of spooky with a fun twist and pop circle card featuring Di’s absolutely adorable “Pumpkin Spice Anything Mice” image from her shop.
I colored up the sweet little mice with my Prismacolor pencils, and then built a playful Halloween scene around them. For the inside of my card, I created a cutesy-spooky background—a mix of fun Halloween colors and patterns that aren’t too scary but still give that festive October vibe.
The main feature is the pop-up circle, which I turned into a glowing “moon” for my mice to sit on. Once the card opens and the circle pops up, the whole design really comes to life—it’s such a fun surprise element!
Since the inside of the card is the star of the show, I kept the front panel simple. I used a touch of spider web lace trimfor texture and added the sentiment “Trick or Treat” for a classic Halloween feel.
I love how this project came together—it’s festive, interactive, and still full of sweetness, just like the little Pumpkin Spice Mice themselves. 🧡
If you haven’t joined us yet, come play along in this challenge! Whether you go spooky, cute, or somewhere in between, we’d love to see your Halloween creations.
