Ribbons and Bows… with a Masculine Twist! ๐Ÿˆ

It’s time for a new challenge over at Di’s Digital Designs Challenge Blog, and this time our theme is Ribbons and Bows! When I first saw the theme, I immediately thought of pretty, feminine cards — but since the next birthday on my list was for a guy, I decided to take on the challenge of making a masculine card that still features a bow.

For this project, I chose Di’s adorable “Champions Together” image from her Etsy shop. I colored it up using my Ohuhu Alcohol markers, going with our school colors — orange and black — for the jersey and football helmet to give it a fun, local school spirit vibe.

To help set the scene, I used a football field digital paper as the background, which really made the image pop. Then, to add some extra sporty details, I brought in a few football-themed die cuts made with my Cricut — the perfect finishing touches for this athletic design.

Of course, since the challenge theme is Ribbons and Bows, I couldn’t forget those! I tied it all together (literally!) with an orange and black bow that coordinates perfectly with the rest of the card’s layout. It’s a small detail, but it really pulls the whole look together while keeping that masculine feel intact.

If you’d like to join in on the fun, hop over to the Di’s Digital Designs Challenge Blog to see the rest of the Design Team’s wonderful creations and share your own Ribbons and Bows project. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
