Scooby Doo Fun with a Circular Wiper Card 🐾
Hi crafty friends!
Today I’m excited to share a fun and interactive card I created as a Design Team member for the Ally's Angels Challenge Blog. As always, the challenge theme is Anything Goes, which gave me the perfect excuse to play with movement, dimension, and a bit of cartoon nostalgia!
For this project, I made a Scooby Doo–themed Circular Wiper Card. I was inspired by the amazing wiper card designs from Sam Calcott, but I decided to challenge myself by adapting the mechanism into a circular format. I love pushing myself to try something new, and this was such a fun experiment!
Card Details & Supplies
To bring this mystery-themed card to life, I dove into my “It’s a Mystery” box that I purchased a while back from Stamp Anniething. This box was absolutely perfect for the Scooby Doo vibe.
I stamped the adorable chibi image dressed like Scooby and colored it up using my Ohuhu Alcohol Markers.
For the scene, I used the Mystery Machine die along with some generic shrubbery dies to build a layered, playful background.
The background was inked with blue, black, and purple Distress Oxide inks to give it that slightly spooky, mystery feel.
To really lean into the Scooby Doo theme, I added clay eyeballs scattered around the background for a fun and quirky touch.
The Interactive Element
The real magic happens when you pull the sides of the card. The wiper mechanism swings into action, and a sentiment pops out from the top that reads:
“Have a bright day.”
Interactive cards are always such a delight, and this one was especially fun to create—and even more fun to watch in action!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope this card inspires you to try a wiper mechanism or even challenge yourself to put a new twist on a familiar card style. Be sure to check out the Anything Goes challenge over at Ally’s Angels and join in—we’d love to see what you create!
Happy crafting! ✂️✨
